1.25 million children from low-income families applied for partial scholarships. Since 1999, more than 96,000 children have benefited from Children's Scholarship Fund scholarships. Currently, almost 29,000 children are using CSF scholarships to attend the private school of their family's choice. The average Children's Scholarship Fund scholarship is $1,399. The average cost of private and parochial tuition nationwide at the schools our recipients are attending is $3,472. The average family contribution is $2,084. The average income of families participating is $27,803. The amount of a scholarship is based upon a family's size, income and the tuition at the school the family chooses for their children.
